The Livingston Arts Council has embarked on an extraordinary mission to transform The Opera House into an exciting and vital community arts and cultural center. Although the restoration of the Opera House theatre on second floor is years away, the vitality of the renovated first floor is realized day to day!

The increasing popularity for many of our programs and events is encouraging. The support and interest is making a positive difference in the vitality of the community. Thanks to numerous donations from many generous individuals and businesses - along with state and federal grants - the first floor renovation of The Opera House in 2006 and the installation of a new roof 2008 was possible.

But the endeavor to sustain the building and continue to develop and maintain quality programs and events is challenging.

Today, because of the current economic climate and the decrease in state funded grants, individual monetary support for The Opera House is even more critical. Currently raised funds through donations, fundraising events, and memberships are used for sustaining the historic building and supporting the development of more quality programs and ticketed events for the enjoyment of the community. Donations of any size are always welcome, as are event sponsorships and charitable gifts.  
 
At this time, we need your help in sustaining quality programming and events at The Opera House and off-site, such as the Concerts at the Courthouse. Your philanthropic investment will make a positive difference in establishing the the arts in our community for generations to come.

In-Kind Donor

There are other ways you can support our effort. The building is always in need of in-kind services or assistance for many things:

• carpentry and painting
• electrical and plumbing
• lock smiths
• window washers and basic cleaning
• ....or anything else you might have in mind - just call us!
